Welcome to Eureka Kids! I am a soon-to-be mom, and while I am incredibly excited for baby to get here, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by all of the gear, clothing, and equipment that we're going to need. My husband and I live in a tiny, tiny house, and a lot of the manufacturers of baby products seem to assume that all parents live in sprawling estates with infinite room for baby equipment. They also often seem to assume that cost is no object.
With this blog, I am going to post things for babies and kids that are smart, well-designed, environmentally friendly when possible, and at least somewhat reasonably priced (although I'm sure I'll be posting some splurges as well). I like hand-made things, I like practical things, and I love things with multiple uses, or that can adjust with a child over time.
